Festival Terms & Conditions
Founded in 2025, the Tamar Valley Film Festival (TVFF) was created to celebrate independent short films made by Tasmanian creatives. The TVFF aims to showcase film made by Tasmanian creatives, in particular those from Launceston & Northern Tasmania, thereby supporting and highlighting upcoming filmmakers and talent. The TVFF is intended to be held as a winter (Off-Season) event to encourage locals, and eventually tourists, to venture out, where audience and filmmakers can connect with each other, and enjoy a variety of shorts.
The TVFF is organised by Star Rae Productions, a performing arts business based on the West Tamar, Launceston.
The 2027 event will be held on Friday 28 & Saturday 29 May, 2027 at the School of the Arts, Launceston.
There are currently no fees associated with film submissions to this festival.
